Human Airway Epithelial Cells of Bronchial (hAECB) and Nasal (hAECN) Origin General Information Epithelix is offering primary Human Airway Epithelial Cells, passage 1, isolated from Bronchial (hAECB) and Nasal (hAECN) biopsies. Each vial contains three principal primary cell types: basal, goblet, and ciliated cells. These cells are able to form tight junction. hAECB and hAECN are commonly used for in vitro studies related with pulmonary diseases and chemical testing. They are now a standard for research on asthma, COPD, cancer, cystic fibrosis, bacterial and viral infection. These cells are also a useful tool for the screening, testing and validation of drugs candidates. Pathologies hAECB and hAECN with several pathologies are available : - Normal
- Smoker
- Allergic Rhinitis
- Asthma
- COPD
- Cystic Fibrosis
Performance Using an in-house technology and know-how, our hAECB and hAECN have the following features: - A faster growth rate
- Very good proliferation and differentiation capacities (a minimum of 20 population doublings)
- An improved and uniform morphology
- Very good reproducibility
Description and Maintenance hAECB and hAECN are supplied in a cryogenic vial containing more than 1'000'000 viable cells in a volume of 1 mL of freezing medium. The vials with cryo-conserved cells will be shipped on dry-ice. Upon arrival, the cells must be taken out and transferred to a storage facility with liquid nitrogen (-196 °C). General Media Requirements Culture of hAECB and hAECN is best performed using Epithelix hAEC Culture Medium. This medium is serum free, chemically dined, and ready-to-use. It is available in 500 mL format. Quality Control All batches are performance-assayed and tested negative for HIV-1, mycoplasma, hepatitis-B, hepatitis-C, bacteria, yeast and fungi.
